Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 1, 2026

At ListAnvil, we take your data privacy as seriously as your inventory synchronization. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our "Foundry" platform. In particular, it details how we handle data from third-party marketplace integrations, including eBay.

1. Data Collection & Third-Party Integrations

We collect information necessary to provide industrial-grade inventory services. When you connect third-party marketplace accounts via our integrations (such as the eBay API), we retrieve specific data:

  • Account Information: Name and email address provided via Google OAuth. For eBay and other connected marketplaces, we retrieve your username/merchant ID and access tokens. We do not collect or store your marketplace passwords.
  • Inventory & Listing Data: Active and archived listing details, listing titles, descriptions, categories, pricing, stock quantities, images, and item specifics from your linked marketplace accounts.
  • Order & Transaction Data: Information about sales made on connected accounts (item sold, sale price, transaction ID, date, order totals) and minimal shipping information required for cross-platform order routing (such as buyer name and delivery address).
  • Technical Data: IP addresses, browser configurations, and activity logs to ensure security and prevent unauthorized access.

2. How We Use Data

Your data is processed exclusively to deliver inventory management features:

  • Executing near-instant delisting and cross-posting synchronization to prevent double-selling.
  • Maintaining the integrity of our Universal Schema mapping.
  • Providing active inventory and order statistics on the Foundry dashboard.
  • Improving the SEO Auditor logic for product optimization.

We do not sell, rent, or lease your inventory data or personal details to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes or to train third-party generative artificial intelligence (AI) models.

3. Google User Data & Google Drive Access

ListAnvil offers Google as a sign-in provider and an optional Google Drive backup feature. The Google user data we access, and how we use it, is strictly limited:

  • Sign in with Google: We receive your name and email address solely to create and identify your ListAnvil account. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Google Drive Backups (drive.file scope): If you enable backups, ListAnvil requests the narrow drive.file scope. This scope grants access only to the backup files ListAnvil itself creates in your Google Drive — it cannot view, read, download, or modify any other files in your Drive. We use it exclusively to write copies of your own inventory data to your personal Google Drive so you retain an independent export of your listings. We do not read your existing Drive contents.

ListAnvil's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the backup feature, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train generative AI models.

You can revoke ListAnvil's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Backup files already written to your Drive remain under your control and can be deleted directly in Drive.

4. Data Retention & Erasure

We store your data for as long as your ListAnvil account is active. To protect buyer privacy:

  • Buyer Personal Data: Any buyer shipping names and addresses retrieved from eBay or other marketplaces for order synchronization are stored temporarily and are automatically purged or anonymized within 30 days of transaction completion.
  • Marketplace Tokens: Authorized tokens used to connect your stores are deleted immediately upon disconnecting the integration or deleting your ListAnvil account.

5. Data Deletion Requests & eBay Deletion Compliance

You maintain full ownership of your data and can request its removal at any time:

  • Manual Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated records directly from the Account Settings panel in the Foundry dashboard, or by contacting our support team at support@listanvil.com. All user records and cached marketplace data are permanently deleted from our primary servers within 14 days of request.
  • eBay Marketplace Deletion Notifications: ListAnvil is fully compliant with eBay's Marketplace Account Deletion/Closure Notification system. When eBay notifies us that a user has requested account closure or data deletion, we automatically identify the relevant records and purge all corresponding personal and eBay-related data from our systems in accordance with eBay's developer terms.

6. Revoking Application Access

If you wish to terminate ListAnvil's access to your marketplace accounts, you can do so in two ways:

  • In the ListAnvil Dashboard: Go to settings, navigate to the Integrations panel, and click "Disconnect Store" next to the corresponding marketplace. This deletes the connection tokens and stops all API queries.
  • Directly via eBay: Log into your eBay account, navigate to Account Settings > Sign in and Security > Third-Party App Access, and revoke the authorization for ListAnvil.

7. Data Security

We utilize server-side ETL processes to minimize client-side data exposure. All data is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3) and at rest using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) cryptosystems. Only authorized services in our backend environment can access the stored integration credentials.

8. Contact Information

For questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact our privacy officer at: support@listanvil.com.
